Buqtarma Discovery Camp is a four-day event that combines business, art and entertainment, and is dedicated to the development of tourism and entrepreneurship in the East Kazakhstan region. Its goal is to become a source of positive change and move the region through the development of infrastructure for tourists of any format - from adherents of comfortable discoveries to fans of backpacking.

The dates of the Buqtarma Discovery Camp from August 19 to 22 have been postponed to September 16-19 due to the entry of the East Kazakhstan region into the red zone for coronavirus
This year, from September 16 to September 19, the Meloman group of companies together with like-minded people gathers a thousand people, selected through personal invitations and recommendations, who are able to influence the society around them through entrepreneurial ideas.

Geography of participants: Shymkent, Atyrau, Karaganda, Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk.

Next year, 2022, we will expand the number of participants to three thousand and open Buqtarma Discovery Camp for everyone, including internal and external tourists. Our plan is to increase the scale of the annual event in 2023 to 5,000 people.
The camp program, the main theme of which is discovery and inspiration, will take place in three completely different and picturesque places of the Bukhtarma Sea.

First of all, this concerns business networking, since the camp will turn into a platform for presentations and discussions of interesting entrepreneurial ideas for the development of the region's infrastructure.

On September 16, in the "Sunrise Bay" recreation area next to the Ust-Kamenogorsk hydroelectric power station, the Buqtarma Discovery Camp will take place for 500 people:
  • It will host speeches of successful entrepreneurs and businessmen of Kazakhstan, who managed to create an interesting and sometimes unique product, as well as speeches of experts on topics relevant to the development of the region: the need for service enterprises, branding of territories, the history and uniqueness of specific geographical places, the connection of tourist flows with the speed of development of the territory and much more.
  • One of the main discoveries of the camp is the “Catalog of Opportunities for the East Kazakhstan Region”, which will include the needs of the region in various categories of the tourism business - from bee apiaries and cheese dairies, to guest houses and transport services. In the same catalog, we will collect all offers from partners of the event, including banks and foundations, for those entrepreneurs who decide to open a new business in the region.
  • On the Business Discovery Day brainstorming sessions will be held to find new ideas and solutions for the existing and future needs of the region.

Delicious cuisine
Unique and recognizable dishes will be prepared by French chefs using only local products. Jeremy Champagnon from the Almaty restaurant Le Bouchon (House 36) and Bastien Aimeur from the Dijon restaurant (Villa Del Fiori) fell in love with Bukhtarma during the week they spent there in early May and are already working on a menu of both mass meals and sophisticated dinners

Buqtarma Discovery Camp Participant Packages
We approached the preparation of packages with the maximum flexibility - from the minimum with a simple one-day access to the camp program and to the extended one with breakfast included for all 4 days and assistance in booking a hotel / apartment in the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk
Basic participant package - SUNRISE
Basic package Sunrise - 10,000 tenge
Valid for 1 day only and includes entrance to the campus and access to all camp activities that day.
The package includes free admission with a child up to 12 years old.

On this day on the territory you can access these services and pay for them on the spot:

  • Water activities
Services that are not available in this package:
  • Rent a tent
  • Transfer between locations
The package is available for any of 4 days - September 16, 17, 18, 19
Teenagers between 12 and 18 years old are only admitted with the Sunrise Basic Package and accompanied by an adult.
Main participant package - SUNRISE PLUS
Basic Sunrise Plus package - starts from 20,000 tenge (1 day) up to 75,000 tenge (3 days):
  • 10,000 tenge per day - entrance to the territory and access to all camp activities
  • 5,000 tenge per day - rent a tent (from 1 to 3 people) per day (or 10,000 tenge per day - rent a tent (from 4 to 6 people) per day)
  • 5,000 tenge - transfer between locations on camp transport
The package includes free admission with a child up to 12 years old.

On site, you can access these services and pay for them on the spot:

  • Water activities
The package is available for any of 3 days - September 17, 18, 19
Teenagers between 12 and 18 years old are only admitted with the additional Sunrise Plus X package and accompanied by an adult.
Additional participant package - SUNRISE PLUS X
Additional package Sunrise Plus X - for those who arrived in the company of a participant with a tent: from 15,000 tenge (1 day) to 45,000 tenge (3 days)
  • 10,000 tenge per day - entrance to the territory and access to all camp activities
  • 5,000 tenge - transfer between locations on camp transport
The package includes free admission with a child up to 12 years old.

On site, you can access these services and pay for them on the spot:
  • Food
  • The drinks
  • Water entertainment
The package is available for any of 3 days - September 17, 18, 19.
Teenagers between 12 and 18 years old are only admitted with the additional Sunrise Plus X package and accompanied by an adult.
Extended participant Package - SUNRISE MAX
Extended package Sunrise Max - 100,000 tenge for all 4 days:
  • Entry to the grounds and access to all camp activities
  • Tent rental (1 to 3 people or 4 to 6 people)
  • Breakfast
  • Transfer between locations on camp transport
  • Assistance in booking a hotel / apartment in Ust-Kamenogorsk on the dates from 15 to 20 September (the participant pays for the reservation himself).
The package includes free admission with a child up to 12 years old.
